How the calendar is made
- Two charts. Yours with a birth time; theirs with or without one. If the time is unknown, the Moon carries a labelled uncertainty instead of a silent guess.
- The tight contacts between the charts (within 2 degrees) are the pair's sensitive points. Practising astrologers time relationships by watching transits to those contacts.
- Every day for 90 days, the moving planets are scored against both charts, the contacts and the composite. Absolute thresholds: a flat sky gives a calm window, not manufactured drama.
- Each day shows its top three reasons, always a computed contact. Never a sentence the chart cannot back up.
FAQ
Does Cosmea need my partner's birth time?
No. Without a time, their chart is computed at noon and the Moon is shown with an uncertainty of about 7 degrees. Moon contacts are scored at half weight and labelled, and there are no houses or angles for them. Nothing is silently assumed.
Where is the birth data stored?
On the phone, in the device keychain. Both charts are scored on the device. The only thing that ever leaves is a list of aspect ids and dates for the calendar text, with no names, dates, places or degrees.
Is this a prediction?
No. The dates are computed from both birth charts against the real sky. The colours are astrological interpretation, not prediction. Controlled studies have not shown astrology predicts events.
When does the app launch?
It is being built for iPhone now. The waitlist email is the only notice we send.
